Hitachino Nest White Ale: Japan

Hitachino Nest White Ale beer labelToday we are heading over to Japan to take a gander at Hitachino Nest White Ale.  Hitachino Nest is a a brand line of beer that was introduced into the market in 1996 by Kiuchi Brewery.  Kiuchi Brewery is located in Ibaraki, Japan and was founded in 1823 by Kiuchi Gihel.

Hitachino Nest White Ale bottle and beer pour Available year round the Hitachino Nest White Ale packs a little bit of Belgium, German, and a Japan in a 12oz bottle.  The pour is a cloudy hazy gold with the aroma of orange, lemon, coriander, and fresh herbal notes blasting out of the bottle with not much head.  As you put the bottle to your lips you can feel the citrus and orange through out your mouth and the two are beautifully well balanced with the wheat flavor.  Hitachino Nest White Ale is very crisp and fresh with light amounts of carbonation making it very easy to drink. The latest development in The Kiuchi Brewery is the wine brewing project.  Kiuchi recently bought 4000 square meters of land next to the brewery for a vineyard. No wine has been produced or sold yet but there will be some in the near future.
