Back then the brewery was known as Germania-Brauerei (German Brewery) and the first Tsingtao beer was served on December 22, 1904.  Tsingtao is sold in 62 countries and regions around the world including Brazil, Germany, France, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico.  Tsingtao Brewery strictly brews Tsingtao and operates wit approximently 600 breweries just in china.  Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan which is a mountain that is very famous and is worshipped for the purity of its water.  Tsingtao imports yeast and barley from Australia and Canada to brew and is classified as a 4.8%ABV American Adjunct lager.

Tsingtao Brewery in Qingdao The appearance of Tsingtao is a crystal clear gold with a small light white head.  Like many American Adjuncts, there really isn't much of a smell from Tsingtao except for a mild sweet aroma.  This beer is very light and crisp with grainy malts, light sweetness, and light hoppiness.  The beer itself is not very carbonated and pairs very well with many different foods.  Tsingtao is basically the Heineken of China and can be found in almost every bar around Asia.  If you want a very light beer that has a nice American style Lager flavor, grab a TsingTao and enjoy the number one beer of China!
